“A fantastic experience! Our lovely informative guide Emmy gave us so much information about the history of Rwanda and local customs in a warm thoughtful way that endeared us to Rwandans and what they have survived. The hotels were superb. The Kigali Marriott was stunning with large beautiful rooms and a really nice outdoor pool area and great restaurant options. The Virunga Inn Resort and spa at Five Volcanoes National park was outstanding. The rooms are massive and luxurious with lovely extra touches like a gentleman who lights a personal fire pit on each deck at night and hot water bottles placed in the very comfortable beds at turndown. Staff were beyond helpful and made us feel extra special and the food was excellent.”
